Hello VBS families! I pray your summers are going well and that you are all staying safe and healthy.
A little while ago, we announced that our VBS at St. James Lutheran Church was going to be all digital this year. This is still the plan moving forward – we still believe that it will keep the most people safe and allow us to still have a good VBS experience.
Here is more information about our Digital VBS! The theme this year is Track and Faith: Victory in Christ! Each day, your child will participate in fun activities, hear and dance to awesome songs, and learn great Bible lessons, based on Hebrews 12:1-2: ”Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.“
Our virtual VBS will take place from August 3rd-7th. Each day at 9am, you will be able to see two new videos here at stjlc.com/youth/vbs – there will be one video starring familiar faces from STJLC, and another video which was made for us by our friends from other churches in New York. These videos will remain online for the rest of the summer, so even if you can’t do them that day, you’ll be able to do them whenever you want!
See below for a supply list – everything you will need for the week’s crafts, games, and suggested snacks. The intention was to make everything that would be very easy to get – some things you may already have! This list will also be available on this website with the videos.
