LUTHERAN WORLD RELIEF BABY CARE KITS: We will be collecting for and making LWR baby kits in MARCH. HOWEVER, gently USED, clean items (no stains or tears) can be substituted for new items. Soooo, during February we will be looking for the following used items, so we can determine what “new” items need to be purchased in March. (Sizes can only be 6 months to 24 months) Ask your friends, family, neighbors if they have any CLEAN, USED: long or short sleeved lightweight cotton t-shirts, gowns or sleepers (WITHOUT FEET!), receiving blankets, cloth diapers, jackets, sweaters or sweatshirts with hoods, or baby caps, baby socks. JACOB’S LIGHT FOUNDATION OUTREACH MINISTRY COLLECTION: Jacob’s Light Foundation was founded in honor of Spc Jacob Samuel Fletcher who was killed November 13, 2006, in Iraq. Jacob had asked his mother to send his buddies a box of goods because they never received anything from home. Their Mission Statement “… is to send our military overseas necessities and comforts from home. We focus on military without family or support from home. We want to give them the support they need and to be a lifeline from America”.
We will be collecting just two of the many items that are being sent to soldiers in need. Specifically, Four-Pack AA batteries (cannot split larger packs) and Deodorant (Degree is preferred). THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ARE NEEDED FOR CHURCH:
Don and music program are looking for two 4 drawer file cabinets and one 3 drawer file cabinet.
Ed Spear is looking for a washer and electrical dryer (stackable preferred) for cleaning church mops, cleaning cloths, etc.
